Home made awning lock
A couple of years ago I found a link on this forum for a home made awning lock. It consists of chain with a screen door spring and S hook on one end, with a S hook on the other end that connects to a ring afixed to the awning tube with a hose clamp. Does the link showing how to fabricate this "awning lock" still exist? I can't seem to find it. Thanks, Steve

If you are going through Springfield you need to stop at the original Bass Pro Shops store. There is a good restaurant there called Hemingways. In Branson go to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede for the dinner and show. The show Country Tonight is also good. So is Yakov Smirnov (sp?). Good Luck Have Fun!!!!

RE: Lake Ozarks Campground close to activities by boat?
ttymeg the only campground that I know about that has a boat ramp would be Lake of the Ozarks State Park. You can get info on the park and pictures of each site at www.mostateparks.com. I'm sure some of the restaurants around the lake are accessible by boat, but I don't know which ones. Good luck and have fun!!

I'll second the propane leak detector as a parasitic drain on your battery, also might look at the stereo if it has a clock feature on it. My set up has a 30 amp fuse in the battery compartment that I remove when parking the camper for a while. Good Luck

St Louis
Will be passing through St Louis 2 weeks from today on our way to Jacksonville Florida. I know that I64 is closed from I270 to I170. I thought about taking I70 to I64/40hwy to I270 to I44 east across the state line to I64 again. Does this sound like a good alternative? Thanks for your opinions.

RE: 2003 F-250 PSD problem
We had a 2004 F250 PSD for over 3 years. It would pass everything except a Ford dealership. The problem with the hose blowing off the tube has very little to do with the connection and a lot to do with turbo and EGR problems. The turbo on ours was replaced or cleaned 2 or 3 times, and the EGR valve about the same. Get it fixed under warranty and then trade it. Good Luck

UPDATE!!!! I know it's been about 8 months since I originally posted this topic but I have new info!!! I e-mailed customer service at www.ventline.com and told them that I had lost one of the tabs holding the flapper closed. I believe that the model number for the ventcover/flapper is V2111. They mailed me several replacement tabs in an envelope. Good Luck
